Pratima Engineering Co.
Pratima Engineering Co. is led by its proprietor, Abhijit Khan. From our base at Bahir Agar near Tamluk, we serve the plants and port facilities of Haldia and nearby districts.
We make hot and cold vulcanized belt joints, lay and recoil belts, repair belt damage and fit rubber lagging on pulleys and drums, as planned shutdown work or emergency repair.
Every job is documented: a written quotation with unit rates, work done against your order, and a GST tax invoice your accounts team can pass without questions.
Measured billing
Rates per mm, metre, square inch, number or hour, so each bill matches the work on your conveyor.
Materials included
We bring the cement, hardener, rubber sheet, fasteners, tools and a trained team.
Day or night
Planned shutdowns and breakdowns after hours, on Sundays and holidays.
Where we work
Within reach of every plant on the Haldia belt.
Our base at Bahir Agar, near Tamluk, is about an hour from the Haldia industrial area and port. Hooghly district plants are a half-day call. Other locations on request; transport is quoted per occasion.

Branded materials, on every job.
We buy jointing and lagging materials from established manufacturers on GST invoice, and bring them to site with the crew. No local mixes, no unbranded solution.
- Cold jointing
- Thejo TC 310 and Thejo TN 9000 cold vulcanising solutions (Thejo Engineering); Waidhan cold solution. Two-part, with hardener; cures at ambient temperature, no press.
- Hot jointing
- MRF vulcanising solution and MRF cushion repair compound, cured under heat and pressure in the vulcanizing press.
- Pulley lagging
- 12 mm plain and diamond-groove rubber lagging sheets and lagging cold solution from established manufacturers.
- Also
- Cover compound for spot repairs; belt fasteners for mechanical joints.
- Supply
- Included in our unit rates, with labour, tools and tackles.
